Talking about crime
Arif Abdullah, Gulshan 2, Dhaka
I think we, the citizens of this country, do not have any other choice than surrendering to fate. The deteriorating law and order situation in and around the capital has put our existence on a steep cliff. The gruesome murder of a noted businessman and his son made us speechless after knowing the details of the crime. The common people are no longer safe even in their own premises. This is very damaging for the country's image. As the foreign investment is the key to our development, we may lose a significant amount of overseas investment. Now the ball is on the ruling-party's court and if they are not serious about implementing their election manifesto regarding eradication of all forms of terrorism and extortion, it is not clear what we will see in the days ahead.
