The GSAC withdrew the strike after Vice-chancellor Prof AJM Nuruddin Chowdhury assured its leaders of meeting their six-point demand.

Following a meeting with students at Shamsunnahar Hall on Tuesday night, the CU authority expelled Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) leader Jebun Nesa Runa from the hall for ousting an allotted student forcibly from room No. 301.

The VC also told students that they would take punitive measures against the culprits responsible for Tuesday's attack on general students, which left 20 students injured.
