HSBC opens new office in Dhaka EPZ
Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) Limited has opened a new business development office in Dhaka Export Processing Zone (DEPZ).

Brigadier General (Retd) Md Zakir Hossain, executive chairman of Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (Bepza), inaugurated the office of HSBC at Savar yesterday, says a press release.

David J H Griffiths, chief executive officer of HSBC Bangladesh, Adil Islam, head of Corporate Banking, and senior officials of HSBC and Bepza were present.

HSBC has over 9,500 offices worldwide in 79 different countries.

Through this new office, HSBC believes, EPZ customers will particularly benefit from HSBC's global network, modern technology and efficient service to enhance their trade operations, both export and import, contributing more to the Bangladesh economy.

This initiative reflects HSBC's continuous efforts to promote trade in Bangladesh.
