India will announce their squad for this month's historic tour of Pakistan today after meeting in Calcutta. The selectors have moved their conference forward by two days so that the players can participate in a three-day preparatory camp before leaving. The camp will be held from March 7-9 and will focus on the fitness of the players after the tour of Australia. Some of India's players will undergo tests while at their preparatory camp before flying out to Pakistan. While the fitness of key spinner Harbhajan Singh remains the major concern, there is better news regarding paceman Zaheer Khan, who is expected to be fit after damaging his hamstring in December. "A number of players picked up injuries during 80-day long tour of Australia," said the president of India's cricket board, Jagmohan Dalmiya. "But our physiotherapist and doctor have stated that most of them would be fit for the tour of Pakistan." Dalmiya added that all the players, other than Harbhajan, had submitted fitness certificates. But he added that every single player would have to pass fitness tests in Calcutta before being named in the squad.
