PM to inaugurate second Bogra by-pass road February 7

Prime Minister Khaleda Zia is expected to inaugurate the construction work of second Bogra by-pass road on February 7.

The 16-km by-pass road to be constructed at a cost of Tk seven crore from Bogra-Banani to Madla-Sabgram-Rajapur will materialise the long-felt demand of 10 northern districts, officials said.

They said the construction work of a bridge at a cost of Tk two crore over the river Karatoa is also nearing completion to connect the by-pass road.

In 1991, the then BNP government took a decision to construct the by-pass road to ease traffic jam here. After coming to power in 2001, the present government took steps to construct the by-pass road.
