Zia loses 11th game

Grand Master Ziaur Rahman lost his eleventh round game to Russian counterpart Alexander Fominyh in the first International Chess tournament in Chennai, India yesterday.Zia shared the third position with other three players with 8 points. IWM Rani Hamid and Hafizul Islam Chapal earned 5.5 points each, Zakia Sultana and Afroza Khanam Bably earned 5 points each. Chapal beat Santhosh of India, Rani Hamid drew with Arindam Mukherjee, Zakia drew with Lakshmi Sathithi of India and Bably beat Kushal, Shukla of India.
