Midnight gunshot frightens RU hall residents

An incident of gun shot and bomb blast at midnight frightened the resident students of all 11 male dormitories of the university on Tuesday.Students heard sounds of bomb explosion and gun fire from the Central Shaheed Miner area on that night. A group of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) activities reportedly blasted bombs and fired gunshots on the night. However, on contact, General Secretary (GS) of of the university's JCD unit Aslam Reza denied occurrence of such an incident. RU Proctor Shamsul Alam Sarker told this correspondent that they did not hear any sound of bomb blast or gunshot.
