Discussion on Zainul Abedin

A discussion was held at the Zainul Abedin Sangrahashala auditorium here marking the 89th birth anniversary of Shilpacharja Zainul Abedin on December 31.State Minister for Energy and Mineral Resources A K M Mosharraf Hossain addressed the discussion as chief guest with Md. Abdul Karim Sarker, Secretary of National Museum in the chair. Dr Shah Md.Faruk, ex-Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) , Dr Abdus Sattar, Director of Fine Arts Institute, Dhaka and artist Amirul Islam were present as special guests. Dr Bejoy Krishna Banik, Deputy Curator of the Sangrahashala deliverad the welcome address. Later, prizes and certificates were distributed among 11 winners of an art competitions in three groups which was held on December 29. A total of 75 participants in three groups took part in the competitions.
