Police quoting eyewitnesses said Nazrul, also a fish trader, went to meet some people at 'Ashraf's slum' in the Purbo Rupsha area where a gang hurled a bomb on him. He died on the spot.

Shahidul, one of the killers, was also seriously injured when a bomb he kept in his pocket suddenly exploded. He was arrested and is undergoing treatment at Khulna Medical College Hospital in police custody.

Police suspect the murder was sequel to a business dispute.
