Abducted man rescued in city

The Rapid Action Team (RAT) rescued an abducted man from a slum in Mohammadpur area of the city and arrested one person on Wednesday.Amzad Hossain, a residence of Shekher Tek of the area, was abducted the previous day. A team of RAT raided the slum at Shekeher Tek area at about 1:00pm after the victim's wife informed them. Police said the arrestee, Sattar alias Murgi Oala Sattar, and his accomplices kidnapped Amzad and demanded Tk 50,000 from his family for his release. Victim's wife Farida Hossain filed a case with Mohammadpur Police Station.
