At 6:45am, a loaded truck slammed on to a Tongi-bound bus that was coming down descend the slope of Abdullahpur bridge. The collision hurled a 25-year-old man, standing near the door, on to the road. He died on the spot.

Another passenger, Lal Mia, received injury and was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

Police arrested the truck driver, Mojnu Mia.

In another incident at Rainbow crossing near the Film Development Corporation (FDC), at 4:00am, an elderly rickshawpuller was run over by a vehicle.
