Seven people accused in the Sajib murder case were chargesheeted yesterday, nine months after investigation into the sensational murder case began, court sources said.Investigation officer Arabind Biswas, inspector of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), submitted the chargesheet to a First Class Magistrate's court at Satkhira. The seven persons are Azharul Islam, Abdul Ali, Anowarul Islam, Sakina Khatun, Shafiqul Islam, Abdul Karim and Anisur Rahman. Sajib, 6, son of Moinul Islam of village Bahera in Debhata upazila, was allegedly kidnapped and killed by the accused. The murder of the child created an uproar among local people. Of the chargesheeted accused, Abdul Karim is in jail custody, Shafiqul Islam and Anisur Rahman were granted bail and the rest are absconding.
