Ex-Daily Star correspondent dead

Former correspondent of The Daily Star and an ex-upazila chairman, Md Atiur Rahman, died of old age ailments at Jessore General Hospital on Friday morning. He was 75.He left behind wife, five sons, three daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death. After the first Namaj-e-Janaza in the town his body was taken to the press club to pay last respect by his colleagues and admirers. Later he was buried at his family graveyard at village Garibpur in Chowgachha upazila after another Namaj-e-Janaza.
