Acid attack during altercation over dowry in Magura

Three people received burn injuries when a group of men threw acid on them during an altercation between the two sides in a bridal procession at village Baharbag in Magura Sadar Upazila Friday night.Sources said some men on the bride's side threw acid on the three men on the bridegroom's side as the two sides quarrelled over the dowry amount. The victims Asadul Biswas 26, Phool Mia, 35, and Farook Molla of Chhonpur village of the same upazila were admitted to Magura Sadar Hospital. No case was lodged till filing of this report last night.
