Charge sheet against Advani, Joshi

The CBI yesterday filed supplementary chargesheet against Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani, his Cabinet colleague Murli Manohar Joshi, VHP leader Ashok Singhal and five others in the Babri Masjid demolition case in a special court here.BJP leader Uma Bharti and firebrand VHP leader Sadhvi Rithambara are among the others against whom supplementary chargesheet was filed in the court. The CBI had been given Saturday's deadline for filing the charges. The court exempted the accused from personal appearance and posted the matter for further hearing to June 13. The special court also directed the CBI to produce the report made by Crime Branch CID which had initially probed the demolition case. The court asked CBI to produce news clippings, videography and photographs collected by CBCID during the investigation.
